Genesis 2

So, on the 7th day God “rested”, but instead of resting he;

• Made mist which watered all of the earth,
• Gave Man life,
• Created a garden,
• Made the tree of Knowledge of good and evil,
• Made 4 rivers,
• Placed man in the garden,
• Told man to eat form any tree except the tree of Knowledge of good and evil,
• Gave man the name Adam,
• Made one of every living creature in the garden,
• Adam then named every creature,
• God then put Adam into a great sleep to steal a rib used to make Woman,
• Adam then named Woman….

All in one day of rest. To me this seems like a rather busy day.

In the Genesis 1 it described that mad was made in his image, However now in Genesis 2 he forms man out of dust of the ground.

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Why would man need to be formed form dust if he was already created after the image of God?

After making the garden God tells man that every tree is there for man to maintain, However man cannot eat form the tree of Knowledge of good and evil or he shall die within the day.

And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat;

But the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

The next section that is hard to believe is that Adam named every creature on earth.

And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

The first question of this, why were the creatures of water not named? Second, If everything on earth has already been named, why is there no record of each creature. To this day we are still discovering new creatures and giving them names.

The last part, the creation of woman,

And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs,  and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

Until this point God has created every other animal out of “nothing” why is it God now has to take a rib form man to create a woman.

On the 7th day God rested by creating rain, a garden, 4 rivers, every creature on earth, having Adam name every creature, drugged Adam to steal a rib used to make woman.
